The Los Angeles real estate market continues to show steady strength as we head into May. The median list price is currently $1,699,000, and the Market Action Index (MAI)—which tracks the balance between supply and demand—has ticked up to 39, up from 37 last month.

What to Watch – There’s no dramatic shift in supply or demand just yet, but if the MAI were to consistently dip below current levels, that could be an early sign of softening prices.
For sellers, conditions are still working in your favor—demand is strong, and inventory is manageable. For buyers, locking in a home now could be wise before any further pricing pressure kicks in.
