The Los Angeles real estate market continues to hold steady. The median list price is $1,495,000, showing overall price stability in recent weeks. The Market Action Index (MAI) is currently at 36, unchanged from last month. This tells us the balance between supply and demand hasn’t shifted much. We’ve reached a relative stasis point, where sales and available inventory are moving at a similar pace.
Inventory remains steady at around 1,637 homes, which is still low enough to keep Los Angeles in a Seller’s Market. While the market feels like it’s paused at this plateau, it’s important to keep an eye on the MAI. If buyer activity increases and the MAI begins to rise, we could see renewed upward pressure on pricing. The MAI remains one of the strongest leading indicators of where the market is headed next.
For sellers, low inventory continues to support pricing. For buyers, this period of stability may present an opportunity before momentum shifts again.
